These pics are by courtesy of the Local Studies Unit of Manchester Central Library click here to go to the site

They are (from left to right):-
    Corridor Corkland Rd.
    Corkland Rd.
    Refectory, Corkland Rd.
    Woodwork Shop, Corkland Rd.
    Gymnasium, Corkland Rd.

Sorry about the small size of the pics.
That's how I got them (still cost me a tenner!)

Here's an email I got from Peter Taylor - many thanks Pete.
Tony,
I was looking for something entirely different when I came across some images of the old place:

(see below)

There does not appear to be anything listed under Chorlton Grammar,
but several early shots came up under a search for Chorlton High.
This image archive is pretty comprehensive
but don't go there unless you have an hour to spare!

All the best,
Pete (left 1968).

One image I had missed was of John Kendall who was Headmaster of "Chorlton High School" in 1898.

I thought I'd also try to increase the size of the above school pics without losing too much quality, so here they are:-
